SGH INNOVATION CENTER

EDUCTAION BUILDING, COMPETITION location: Warsaw surface area: 10 595 m² project: 2017

The project relates to the existing SGH buildings on several levels. The construction elevation columns are formed in the floor plan in a shape of a diamond – a figure referring to the geometric forms used by Jan Witkiewicz-Koszczyc, an architect designing for the Warsaw School of Economics in the interwar period. The inside of the building was designed with special attention paid to the layout of students’ areas, which open to the green balconies on one side, and to halls of the specific stories on the other. The spaces that form student areas are connected by openings in the ceilings and stairs, so that different levels of interaction can occur between users.
