COMPETITION FOR THE CONCEPT OF MANAGING A POLONIA CENTER

The competition project for the Polonia Sports Center. The concept was developed on the basis of a thorough analysis of the design of the club's architectural objects and a historical context, which is very important for the supporters and their community gathered since 1911 around the Polonia Warsaw club. The facade of the buildings was shaped in a way to imitate classicistic patterns and evoke association with modernist, monumental, and dignified architecture. This idea aims to emphasize the important role of the club’s and Warsaw’s history in creating the identity of the Polonia Warsaw.
The interiors of the Polonia Warsaw Center will be filled with modern technical forms, black steel structures, nets, technical devices all forming the atmosphere of modernity, functionality, and efficiency. It will symbolize the future and plans of the club, clearly oriented to return to the highest levels of competition - both on national and European level. As a result, modern architecture shows off the club and its rich history in a dignified way. The intention of the architects is to picture the Polonia Center as a structure of special historical and cultural significance, at the same time boldly looking into the future and meeting the needs of Warsaw citizens, providing them with space for entertainment at the highest level.
